Todays lecture was about accommodating all learners and creating multimodality to make learning accessible for everyone. The more flexibility you have in a classroom the more engagement you will see. Teachers should consider self pacing assignments and ways of teaching. There are online courses for students in grades K-12. Using only one mode (face-to-face, in person) causes social justice issues. If face-to-face is the only mode being used then students with disabilities who may not be able to attend the class will miss out on learning opportunities. Schools should be striving to include as many students as possible because if they lose students they lose funding money.
